In
addition to interpreting, our client asked us to record audio and
video of the plenary sessions and the corresponding audio signal
from the interpretation booth.
The workshop lasted two and a half days and produced nearly
24 hours worth of audio and video data that we later formatted,
filtered, equalized and synced into a single video file prior to
editing the English and Spanish video versions of the same workshop.
The
resulting video files for each version were approximately 6 hours
long and had to be divided into 3 DVDs in order to maintain an acceptable
level of video quality that would not only look good to the eye
but would also let the viewers read from the Power Point slides
shown during the numerous presentations of the workshop. |

The
product requested from our client in Sample 1 above used the live
interpretation sound stream from the interpretation booth.
For Sample 2 we removed the voice of the interpreter and
added subtitles instead.

This
is a small documentary that proves that getting your message across
does not have to cost you an arm and a leg.
The video is in Spanish and though we regret to admit that
we did not take the trouble of subtitling it, it can still be fun
to watch. Total playing time is six minutes and twenty eight seconds. |

We have been in business for nearly 15 years providing
a wide range of services that have contributed to the success
of many missions visiting El Salvador and the rest of Central
America. For several years we have been doing over-the-Internet
translation work for clients in Japan, Switzerland, Sweden,
Holland, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Chile, and Paraguay
and our interpretation skills have also taken us to St.
Kitts, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala,
Mexico, and the United States while assisting a wide array
of missions.
Where other companies are "stuck" with a single
type of simultaneous interpretation equipment (either Infrared
or Radio Frequency), we offer great flexibility and reliability;
we know the tools of the trade and we have them all: from
portable RF interpretation equipment--suitable for high-noise
environments such as assembly lines or market places--to
high-end infrared stationary interpretation equipment--that
will guard confidentiality against scanners or other means
of eavesdropping--we have every instrument we need to assist
our function and the technical expertise to know the capabilities
and limitations of our equipment in order to solve every
problem we might encounter.
Our team is experienced, organized, punctual, flexible,
and adaptive, always ready to meet the challenge. We provide
a world-class service at a very affordable price; our rates
are the best you will find and our billing is clear and
simple--no hidden fees, no surprises. We are easy to work
with and we will always walk that extra mile for you.
Please do contact us to find out more about who we are
and the many ways in which we can help you, please join
our list of friends throughout the globe.

| We take
pride in the quality of sound we deliver and we are
never willing to compromise that quality.
We are users and distributors of the leading brand
in simultaneous interpretation equipment: LISTEN.
Our simultaneous interpretation equipment delivers
the best experience that technology can offer and
is 100% compatible with all other brands of simultaneous
interpretation equipment--for trouble-free events.
LISTEN equipment can be quickly deployed with the
widest variety of microphones and earpieces, including
ultra discrete and nearly invisible in-ear speakers
that can be worn in one or two ears--as preferred
by the user (our in-ear speakers are provided to the
user brand new and are never re-used). Our transmitters
offer the longest range in the market and, like our
receivers, are equipped with noise reduction technology
to block parasitic signals and increase the signal-to-noise
ratio for clean, intelligible, CD-quality sound that’s
pleasant to the ear.
Our infrared simultaneous interpretation
equipment provides outstanding performance in the
interference-saturated environments of hotels, convention
centers, and other business venues. Additionally,
infrared equipment ensures total privacy as it employs
invisible light to transmit signals that cannot travel
through or around solid obstacles and, therefore,
cannot be gathered by any type of scanner or receiver
beyond the walls containing the transmitter--not even
by other infrared receivers. |

Background: |
El Salvador achieved independence from Spain
in 1821 and from the Central American Federation in 1839. A 12-year
civil war, which cost about 75,000 lives, was brought to a close
in 1992 when the government and leftist rebels signed a treaty that
provided for military and political reforms. |
